IT was a tough game last week against Dewsbury but it was also another victory for us.

It is 15 straight league wins and counting for us now since we lost at Leigh on the opening day.

I think that might be the longest winning run anywhere in the country and it’s just a case of maintaining the momentum now.

Dewsbury gave us a great game last Sunday and that’s credit to Glenn Morrison and his team.

We know we are full-time and a lot of the opposition in the Championship are part-time.

But anything can happen on the day in rugby league and it’s about turning up and performing.

Like I say, while the performance was not our best, we still won and a number of players are coming back from injuries.

Jake Mullaney and Matty Blythe made their comebacks last week and played their part in the win.

On the downside, Lee Gaskell is going to be out for a while after the injury he picked up in the recent game against Doncaster.

There is no denying that Gasky will be a huge miss because he is so important to what we do as a team.

I have heard it said this season that he is the best player in the Championship and would not be out of place in the NRL, never mind the Super League.

Gasky is a top, top player and has proven himself as such time and again this year.

He’s a great guy off the pitch and on it he is unstoppable at times.

He has that ability to come up with match-winning plays, whether it be an offload, a kick, or a run to break the line and score or set someone up.

As I’ve said many times this season, we have a big squad here and other players are capable of stepping up and making their mark.

That brings us to Harry Siejka, who is on the brink of making his own comeback from injury.

Harry had just started to show glimpses of his best form before he got injured against London Broncos at Odsal in April.

He has worked hard to get himself back to full fitness and his return could prove very timely indeed as we go in search of another win at Workington this weekend.
