WYKE Wanderers' end-of-season barbecue and presentation bash at their Scholes Sports and Social Club headquarters, had a celebratory air about it.
They were promoted from Division One to the Premier Division, and defender Joe Walshe was the first team's player of the year, while goalkeeper Ben Sharp won the player's player award.
The leading goalscorer was Ian Horrocks, while Hoi Pin Truong was awarded both the reserve player of the year and the players' player trophies, with youngster Joe Sagar being the top goalscorer.
The Paul Wilson Memorial Trophy went to Karl Fawcett, and club secretary Dave Ryan said: "Karl is a stalwart who has been with us for many years, having come through our juniors, and he thoroughly deserves this recognition."
