CROW Nest Park Golf Club are holding a fund-raising day for the Danny Jones benevolent fund.
Landlord and owner Mick Stansfield is a former director of Halifax RL, where the late Cougars favourite Jones made 54 appearances during two spells at his home-town team.
The Brighouse-based golf club are appealing for entrants to their nine-hole competition on Friday, September 18.
Cost for a four-man team is £150 and also includes a putting competition, food and entertainment.
All proceeds are to be donated to the appeal fund, which is being held to support Jones' widow Lizzie and their twins Bobby and Phoebe.
Jones died following a cardiac arrest while playing for Cougars at London Skolars last month.
An auction of prizes, including holidays, meals and sporting memorabilia will also take place.
Stansfield said: “We still have a few team vacancies and need some more prizes donating before we can start to relax. It is for a really worthwhile cause and we hope that not only will the rugby world rally together but that the locals in Hove Edge will also support this event."
Teams representing Huddersfield Giants, Leigh Centurions, Bradford Bulls and Halifax RL have already signed up.
Contact Mick on 07802-331160 or Les on 07873-267665 to enter a team, buy tickets for the evening event (£15) or donate an auction prize.
