JACK Lampkin's runner-up spot in the Bradford Amateur Championship came hot on the heels of him winning the Hawksworth Trophy.
The Ilkley member, who was second behind Andy Town at Northcliffe on Sunday, claimed the prestigious Yorkshire Order of Merit title at Bradford Golf Club thanks to a two-round level-par gross score of 142.
Lampkin was the only player to break 70 with a first-round 69 before his second-round 73 saw him finish three shots clear of the field.
Otley and Moortown member Philip Tomkinson, who was the defending champion, was runner-up after posting 73, 72.
Tom Gray, also of Moortown, was third a further shot back, pipping Dane Bairstow (Bingley St Ives), Nigel Colbeck (Cleckheaton) and Jack Laybourne in a countback.
Lampkin said: "It was a pleasure to play Bradford and I thank the green staff for all their hard work preparing the course and to all the members and staff who gave their time to make the day and I look forward to next year."
His success left him top of the Order of Merit after eight events, having also won the Raywell Amateur Classic at Hessle in April.
