SILSDEN have confirmed a visit from a Football League club has been added to their list of pre-season friendlies.
The Cobbydalers had already announced four warm-up games before revealing that Fleetwood Town, who are League One rivals of Bradford City, will be sending a team to the Angel Telecom Stadium.
Fleetwood, who also played in the North West Counties League before their meteoric rise up the football pyramid, will be visiting on Monday, July 13 (7.45).
Cobbydalers joint-manager Danny Bolton said: "We're delighted to get Fleetwood Town for a pre-season game because it will be a good test for our players and great for raising the profile of our club.
"We have used our contacts and have had feelers out for months as it takes time to get these games confirmed and arranged. We expect they will send a squad of players from their reserve and development teams.
"We had good feedback from other clubs in and around the area and we hope it will be the first of three Football League clubs that will be coming to us for friendly fixtures."
