LIVERSEDGE have appointed Jonathan Rimmington as their new first-team manager after Alan Colquhoun stepped down last week.
The Clayborn outfit didn’t advertise the position but several candidates did contact the club, however they decided to appoint from within.
Rimmington has been running Sedge’s under-19s and has also been involved with Rothwell Juniors and Leeds City through several years.
In a statement, the club said: “He has strong ties with most clubs in West Yorkshire, both professional and amateur, and he promises to be a good signing for the club.
“Jonathan will be starting pre-season shortly and he hopes to see new and current players attending.”
Liversedge secretary Bryan Oakes said: “As far as I’m aware this will be his first role with an open-age side and we are confident he will do it well.”
