CAMPION brought down the curtain on their West Riding County Amateur League season with a 3-0 home win over Steeton.
Both sides adapted well in a Premier Division game played in wet and windy conditions that would have normally have caused a postponement.
Omar Habeeb edged Campion in front early in the first half before Ben Kendall doubled the lead when he followed up a penalty taken by Steve Hollingworth that was saved.
Hollingworth did get on the scoresheet in the second half with Campion's third and final goal as they finished third, with Steeton in seventh.
Meanwhile, Bay Athletic edged to within touching distance of lifting the title for the seventh time in ten seasons as they extended their run of successive victories to seven with a 3-2 success at home to Storthes Hall.
The Huddersfield side now need to win at home to Ovenden West Riding on Wednesday night to be certain of finishing top as any any other result would hand the trophy to Golcar United.
Defending champions Ovenden, who will finish the league campaign in fourth place, took their tally of goals to 101 as they beat mid-table Littletown 5-3 at Natty Lane.
Huddersfield-based Honley edged Gildersome Spurs Old Boys out of the champions' spot in Division Two with a 3-1 victory over Salts Reserves at Marley Stadium.
