WITH two games remaining, Field, following their 3-0 win over Knaresborough Town, are now clear favourites to be crowned West Yorkshire League Premier Division champions.
Nicky Doherty opened the scoring after 25 minutes and Josh Milner made it 2-0 when the Knaresborough goalkeeper dropped his shot over the line.
After a long lay-off through injury, John Penn came on as a substitute and passed the ball to Doherty, who completed the scoring.
Field's assistant manager Barry Dunne said: "It was another hard game, with both teams having chances, but we converted three of ours."
Meanwhile, Wyke Wanderers edged closer to promotion from Division One following a 0-0 draw against Stanley United.
Wyke dominated the first half, with good performances from Karl Fawcett, who started at left back before being moved forward, and midfielder Max Powell, plus striker Reece Harbon, who battled well on his debut.
Wyke secretary Dave Ryan said: "This result puts us in touching distance of promotion to the Premier Division, and a point on Saturday at home to Whitkirk will secure our aims."
In Alliance Division One, Field Reserves came away from Leeds City Reserves with a 4-2 win, courtesy of goals from Jack Webster (2), Christopher Waters and Liam Lambert.
