FARSLEY will be hoping to land some silverware on the final day of their season as they compete with rival Evo-Stik First Division North outfit Warrington Town in the League Cup final.
Stockport County’s Edgeley Park is the neural venue for tonight’s Doodson Sports Cup showpiece – a good choice as it is almost central between the two clubs.
Farsley boss Neil Parsley said: “The players and the supporters have represented the club well throughout the season and a big game like this is a reward for them. The players are looking forward to it and they will give it their all.”
The club is looking to go into the summer break on a high after a disappointing end to their league campaign but Parsley has injury concerns. Gibraltar striker Adam Priestley, the club's top scorer this season, is ruled out with a hamstring strain and defender Matt Dempsey also looks set to miss out.
Dempsey made his comeback from a knee injury as a substitute in last Saturday’s final league game but had a bad reaction following his brief cameo appearance.
Warrington finished three places higher than Farsley as both the pre-season favourites for promotion missed out on the play-offs.
