New Mills 1 Brighouse Town 4
BRIGHOUSE Town enjoyed a 4-1 win at struggling New Mills in the Evo-Stik Division One North, tonight.
James Hurtley broke the deadlock just before the half-hour when he latched onto a bouncing ball in the area.
Hurtley also headed home Town’s second from a corner before the home side hit back through Melford Knight just before the hour.
Tom Matthews restored the visitors’ two-goal lead and Ben Thornton put the gloss on the win with a fourth four minutes from time.
In the same division tonight 13th host 12th as Farsley head to Clitheroe for a Roses derby clash with the visitors looking for the win that would take them back into the top half of the table.
In the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division Thackley host Heanor Town. The visitors are only three places above the Dennyboys but have a huge 19-point advantage.
