FIELD have moved closer to being crowned champions of the West Yorkshire League Premier Division following their hard-fought 1-0 win against Otley Town.
Levi Pedder grabbed the all-important goal for Field after 15 minutes following a goalmouth scramble, and their assistant manager Barry Dunne said: "Otley were tough to break down and came at us looking for an equaliser in the last 20 minutes but our defence stood firm."
In Division One, Wyke Wanderers had substitute Aidan Day sent off in their 1-1 draw against Old Centralians.
James Tucker scored for Wyke, who are third and still on target for promotion.
Baildon Trinity Athletic's hopes of rising from Division Two suffered a huge setback when they surprisingly lost 2-0 at Hall Green United.
With four matches remaining, Baildon now find themselves in fifth.
The match was played in a driving wind on a very uneven pitch and Hall Green took the lead after only eight minutes.
Although Baildon tried to get back into the match, they couldn't breach the Hall Green defence and, with only two minutes remaining, the hosts, who are third from bottom, scored a breakaway goal to secure the points.
Ben Baker was on target for Field Reserves but it was in vain as his team lost 2-1 at Brighouse Old Boys Reserves in Alliance Division Two.
