A FRUSTRATED Phil Parkinson admitted City paid a heavy price for not taking their chances as they lost 1-0 at Gillingham today.
The Bantams bossed the first half but could not turn their control of the game into a goal and were beaten by sub John Marquis.
Parkinson said: "You can’t fault the attitude and application but we’ve had so many great moments to kill the game. The first half was complete domination and we should have been two or three up on the balance of play.
"When you don’t take those moments in games you are always vulnerable to be punished and that’s what happened.
"We had two cleared off the line and one that Steady (Jon Stead) was convinced was over but wasn’t given. Billy Clarke had a great shot and we had some fantastic positions.
"We always looked like a threat but when you dominate like that, you’ve got to score."
