WITH four West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division matches left to play, second-placed Campion can only win and wait to see what Bay Athletic and Ovenden West Riding – their rivals for the runners-up spot, who have both played less games – do.
Campion host Lower Hopton on Saturday, while Ovenden and Bay meet at Natty Lane.
Tyersal, whose position in the bottom two was confirmed on Wednesday evening when they lost 6-2 at Salts, complete their forgettable season next week when they play their final two fixtures.
Steeton, with five of their last seven fixtures away from home, are at Storthes Hall, while Salts entertain leaders Golcar United in the first of their final four games at home.
Wednesday's results – Premier Division: Campion 4, Hunsworth 0; Huddersfield YMCA 0, Bay Athletic 2; Salts 6, Tyersal 2. Division One: Overthorpe SC 1, DRAM Community 4; Storthes Hall Res 1, Lepton Highlanders 2. Division Two: Honley 3, Golcar United Res 1.
