FARSLEY put a very disappointing run behind them by reaching the final of the Evo-Stik League's Doodson Sports League Cup in midweek with a 2-1 away win at Ramsbottom United in their third game in five hectic days.
That will have stoked up their confidence ahead of Saturday’s trip to struggling Prescot Cables in Division One North.
Neil Parsley’s men have dropped out of the play-off race in recent weeks but still want to finish on a high, and the players will be playing for their shirts in the final against Warrington Town.
Brighouse Town will also be in good spirits when they welcome cup battlers Warrington tomorrow as they took maximum points over the Easter weekend.
After beating Kendal Town 3-1 last Saturday, they won the derby 1-0 at Farsley two days later.
Warrington have 15 points left to play for but are already nine adrift of the play-off places, so it’s unlikely that the Yellows, who also had a long run in the FA Cup, will be in with the chance of promotion to cap a good campaign.
There are 12 points up for grabs for Paul Quinn’s men and they will be looking to bank at least five to get through the 50-point barrier in their first season at this level.
