Ramsbottom United 1 Farsley 2
FARSLEY booked their place in the final of the Evo-Stik League Doodson Sports Cup against all the odds at Ramsbottom United last night.
Neil Parsley’s men were giving away a division to their Premier hosts and were on the back of four straight defeats in the league but they broke the deadlock and skipper Rob O’Brien netted the winner after Rammy had equalised.
Josh Grant had sidefooted Farsley’s first real chance over the bar but he netted a well-hit cross-shot from wide on the right flank on the quarter-hour mark.
The home side’s Osebi Abadaki levelled the semi-final ten minutes before the break but O’Brien lashed a 52nd-minute shot in to take his side through to meet Warrington Town in the showpiece final.
