ALBION Sports boss Kulwinder Sandhu was angry at the dismal display of his own side as they slumped to a 4-0 defeat at Handsworth Parramore in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.
Sandhu said: “It was a very bad day at the office I’m afraid because we had so many players missing and the young players that came in weren’t ready.
“The worst thing for me was that there was not enough spirit or fight from us. Aaron Brian was injured last week so we had a young keeper in from the second team and he made mistakes. We were 3-0 down at half-time and it could have been six.
“As well as Aaron we had captain Asif Hussaian and James Firth out along with Karl Hall and Matt Morgan. That is half of the regular side and we missed those players. We haven’t got the resources to have a bigger squad. I’m just glad we didn’t lose by double figures.”
Kieron Wells opened the scoring in the fifth minute and Julian Lawrence and Sam Smith added in the first half while Bruno Holden added the only goal of the second half in the penultimate minute.
