JACK Morrall scored a tremendous hat-trick – including a 35-yard free-kick – as Thackley beat Ossett Albion 3-1 in the Northern Under-19 Alliance League.
Thackley boss James Bennett said: "All three of Jack's goals would have won a goal-of-the-season competition, they were that good, as we continue to climb the table."
Albion Sports Reserves beat Ossett Albion Reserves 2-0 in the Lancashire League thanks to goals by Krishan Patel and Simon McQuiston.
Ossett had the chance to equalise but missed a penalty in a match that saw both sides have a man sent off. Adam Chahal picked up a second yellow card for Sports after reacting to a bad tackle by an opponent, who received a straight red.
Tristan Innes enjoyed a fine debut for Thackley Reserves in their 3-0 victory against Eccleshill Leeds, with goals coming from fellow debutant Sam Fox, Tawonga Gumboh and Joe Keen.
