ROUTE One Rovers' bid to finish second in the Spen Valley League behind Premier Division champions elect TVR United continues to falter.
They followed up their 1-1 draw at lowly Whitburn Athletic with a 5-2 home defeat against mid-table Marsh, with Hassan Mahmood Ali and Usman Hussain netting for the losers.
Vision, one of three clubs who could overtake Rovers, climbed from sixth to third on the back of a 3-0 win at Smokin' Aces thanks to goals by Liam Shields, Chris Lever and Chris Emery. They are now just a point behind Route with a game in hand.
Kirk Taylor and Sulimon Alapsi were on target for improving Whitburn but they went down 4-2 at second-bottom Savile United.
Unbeaten Palestino confirmed their position as prospective Division One champions with a 4-1 home victory over Mount Pleasant. Ryan Sanson (2), Ben McCardle and Victor Lluch scored for the second-placed club.
Cleckheaton Sporting are off the bottom after a 3-2 win at Norfolk, with Matty Softley (2) and an own goal settling the issue.
