Tadcaster Albion 0, Bradford Park Avenue 4
BRADFORD Park Avenue put to bed any questions about their eligibility to be in the final of the West Riding County Cup by booking their place for a second time.
After the debacle of having to play Tadcaster Albion again because of confusion arising from an ineligible player dispute, the tie had to be replayed. But after edging the first meeting 3-2, Avenue triumphed by a great margin this time.
They broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Steve Boothman picked up the ball on the edge of the area and drilled home.
Boothman then turned provider in first-half stoppage time as his cross was converted by Richard Marshall's near-post header.
Just as in the initial tie, Avenue stretched their lead to 3-0 – this time moments after the break as Marshall added an assist to his earlier goal.
Billy Priestley just failed to connect with Marshall's 47th-minute cross but Ryan Qualter turned it in.
Avenue ensured a resounding victory when Boothman's through-ball in the penultimate minute played in Chib Chilaka, who rounded the home keeper to score.
Elsewhere, Albion Sports lost 3-2 at home to Staveley MW in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Cup quarter-finals.
And in NCE Division One, Eccleshill United skipper Charlie Flaherty again led by example as he bagged a brace in the Eagles' 2-1 home win over Rossington Main.
