BRADFORD Park Avenue must head to Tadcaster Albion for a West Riding County Cup semi-final tonight – a month after winning the tie.
The County FA ordered a replay ruling after Tadcaster complained about Avenue fielding an ineligible player in their 3-2 victory over the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division outfit.
The ruling body agreed that wing back Alex Pursehouse should not have played but because Avenue had been told he was eligible when they inquired to the County FA, it was decided that it would be unfair to award the tie to Tadcaster.
Avenue raced to a 3-0 first-half lead with strikes by Craig King, Sam Patterson and Chib Chilaka in the original game but former Bradford City striker Lewis Clarkson pulled two goals back in the last two minutes for Tadcaster.
There is more cup football elsewhere with Albion Sports hosting Premier Division rivals Staveley MW in the NCE League Cup quarter-finals.
Eccleshill United will be looking for another home win against Rossington Main in Division One. The Eagles got back to winning ways at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium at the weekend with a 2-1 victory over York
