SILSDEN Development dented the Lancashire League title hopes of Ossett Albion Reserves by defeating them 2-1.
Second-placed Ossett took an early lead but Danny Riley equalised on the half-hour mark, before Silsden were reduced to ten men on 55 minutes when Josh McNulty was sent off for retaliating to a poor tackle.
But Ben Crabtree grabbed the winner on 70 minutes and Silsden manager Paul Evans said: "Our ten men held out and our goalkeeper Wayne Mahomet made some good saves late in the match to secure all three points."
Brighouse Town Reserves went behind during the first half at Ashton United Reserves but hit back through Tom Haigh to earn a point.
Town assistant manager Barry Thomas said: "We went with a weakened squad with three players appearing for the first team, while some were called up to play for the West Riding County FA. We struggled in the first half but got better and could have won the match."
The fixture between Thackley Reserves and Harrogate Railway Reserves was postponed because Railway could not raise a team, while Thackley's match against Field in the Northern Under-19 Alliance was called off due to a waterlogged Dennyfield pitch.
