THE Football Association will contact Reading and Bradford to seek their observations following the pitch invasion after last night's FA Cup quarter-final replay at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading fans ran onto the pitch after the final whistle in their 3-0 win over the Bantams which secured an FA Cup semi-final clash with Arsenal at Wembley.

A supporter also invaded the playing surface during the game and the FA will speak to both clubs to collect their views.

It comes with FA and West Midlands Police investigations still on-going into crowd trouble at Aston Villa's FA Cup quarter-final win over West Brom earlier this month.

Villa fans invaded the pitch during and after their 2-0 win while seats were thrown from sections of the Baggies support into the home end.

Reading were comfortable winners of their last-eight tie on Monday but victory was marred by alleged racial abuse towards midfielder Garath McCleary.

McCleary, who scored Reading's second goal, appeared to make a complaint to the assistant referee in the build-up to half-time.

A club statement read: "An incident was reported to the match officials just before half-time, who in turn told Reading staff. A man was then arrested and ejected during the half-time interval."

Hal Robson-Kanu and Jamie Mackie also scored to send the Royals into the last four while City had Filipe Morais sent off.
