ALBION Sports went goal crazy in Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division as they battered Glasshoughton Welfare 9-2, with Danny Facey grabbing a hat-trick.
Welfare broke the deadlock and actually led 2-0 after 26 minutes with goals from Nathan Perks and Kingsley Wetherald but strikes from Facey (2) and Brice Tiani had Albion in front by the interval.
Skipper Asif Hussain then netted a penalty before Levi Maturine, Arran Basi and Sam Bradley all rattled in second-half goals, and when Albion got another penalty in the penultimate minute, Facey was handed the chance to get his treble, and duly obliged.
Thackley edged a tight derby at Liversedge after coming from a goal down to win 2-1 with a last-minute strike by former Bantam Joe Brown. Andrew Wood had given Sedge a 12th-minute lead, and they held that until Thomas Dugdale netted the Dennyboys’ equaliser ten minutes into the second half.
Skipper Charlie Flaherty led by example as he bagged a brace to win the game for Eccleshill United in Division One.
Flaherty netted in each half before Harrison Blakey hit a late consolation for Yorkshire Amateur.
