FARSLEY are fast approaching last orders in the last-chance saloon in their push to claim a place in the Evo-Stik First Division North play-offs.
A defeat in midweek left Neil Parsley’s men floundering in eighth place, four points outside the top five with their games in hand evaporating. They have had a tough run of fixtures but, despite a 3-2 victory over second-placed Darlington 1883, losses to rivals Bamber Bridge and Spennymoor Town (1-0 away on Tuesday) mean they have a lot to do.
They make the short journey to fifth-from-bottom Ossett Albion on Saturday, knowing they cannot slip up against the lower clubs.
Brighouse ended a four-game losing run with a point from a 1-1 draw at basement outfit Padiham last weekend but were denied a chance to build on that when Monday’s game at New Mills was postponed.
