FARSLEY'S quest for promotion in the Evo-Stik First Division North took another hit when they lost 1-0 at play-off rivals Spennymoor Town last night.
Only goal difference separated the clubs before kick-off and there was very little between them on the pitch.
The home side won it thanks to a single second-half strike by Nathan Fisher. Town’s Liam Henderson also had the ball in the net but that was ruled out for offside.
SILSDEN slipped to a 3-0 defeat at Colne in the North West Counties Premier. A Danny Boyle goal gave the home side a first-half lead and Joe Garvin doubled that in the 69th minute, with Boyle adding his second late on.
In the NCE League, LIVERSEDGE were held to a 3-3 draw at home by Athersley Recreation in the Premier Division, while ECCLESHILL UNITED lost their Division One clash 1-0 at Clipstone.
