JAMES Hanson reckons that reaching Wembley in the FA Cup would top their 2013 achievements.

After beating up Chelsea and Sunderland, the Bantams targetman is ready to impose himself again when Reading roll into a jam-packed Valley Parade this lunchtime.

As City’s longest-serving player, Hanson has seen all the huge occasions but admits that booking a semi-final slot at the national stadium would be the biggest achievement yet.

Hanson said: “The 2013 Capital One Cup run still gets talked about. But I think if we were to get to the semi-final, it would surpass the League Cup final.

“I think the FA Cup takes priority over the League Cup so to get to Wembley and play in the semi-final would be the best.”

Hanson has his own corner at home to relive his biggest City memories – and has left space for more.

He said: “I got Drogba's shirt, that was a good one. And I got Adam Johnson's, which isn't looking too good!

"I also got Per Mertesacker's from the Arsenal game and Ciaran Clark's from Aston Villa.

"I've framed them all. I've got a games room with a few of the shirts in. They're special."

But he stressed that nobody is getting carried away ahead of a tie that most of the bookies are tipping City to win.

Hanson added: “It’s just fun isn’t it. I think a lot of people are expecting us to beat Reading (easily) which is a dangerous game.

“If you look at their season, they probably can’t go up or down so this is their make-or-break game.

“With it being one game from Wembley, the pressure is on both clubs. They will be giving it their all.”
