THE predicted postponement of the majority of West Riding County Amateur League games proved correct.
While the snow cleared by Friday, it left most grounds unplayable and only one league match was possible at Storthes Hall.
Dudley Hill Rangers, with goals from Liam Carroll, Wayne Broxholme, Roman Zurek and James Scott, beat the hosts' second string 4-1 to knock Division One leaders Ventus-Yeadon Celtic off the top spot they have held for most of the season.
In the only other game played, Premier Division side Kirkburton bowed out of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Challenge Cup when they lost 2-1 after extra time to Worsbrough Bridge Reserves.
