GUISELEY boss Mark Bower feels his team have been unfortunate not to bank more points from the displays they have been putting in and that has affected their position in the table.
The Lions are currently fourth in Vanarama Conference North and on course to maintain their remarkable record of being in the play-offs every season they have been in the division.
But Bower insisted: "The performances have deserved a better position in the table and I think a fair reflection would have seen us win a few more points than we have at the moment.
"I believe we are good enough to have been a bit higher and we could easily have been in an even stronger position than we are. I also feel that if we keep playing the same way, the points will come.
"You look at teams like (leaders) Fylde though, and you have to take your hat off to them and Tamworth (third) for the run they've been on.
"We have to concentrate on what we're doing and make sure we keep picking up points so we put ourselves in a position to capitalise on any slip any of the teams around us makes."
Bower admits it has been a frustrating time with games called off and this area being hit harder by the weather than most, although every cloud does have a silver lining and players have had recovery time.
"I've been glued to the weather app on my phone for what seems like weeks and it was hard watching other clubs picking up points while we're doing a bit of extra training," said the Guiseley manager.
"But we've just got to be ready to go and get three points whenever the opportunity arises.
"Last week, when the Bradford Park Avenue game was off, we were a bit light but the extra week has given three of the players time for treatment to get to work.
"Adam Boyes has a three-game ban and that is lasting ages. He and Andy Holdsworth (hamstring) will be missing the next few games.
"We don't have the biggest squad and when you lose your top scorer it's always going to hit hard.
"But even though the squad isn't big, we have quality throughout, so I think we'll be all right and we're looking forward to second half of the season."
