FILIPE Morais will have a score to settle with his Chelsea-mad mates tomorrow.
They all predict a thrashing for City when the winger returns to the club where he began his career under Jose Mourinho.
Morais said: “All my family grew up as Chelsea fans and a few of my mates are season-ticket holders. Everyone I know seems to be going.
“They think Chelsea are going to win 4-0 or 5-0! I just entertain them, keep my head down and not give too much away.
“Chelsea fans are going to think that when they look at the teams on paper and we’re two divisions below. But I believe differently.
“Fortunately football has its twists and turns and that’s the glory of the FA Cup. Chelsea are just 11 men – they are human beings like me, not super heroes.”
Morais has played just once at Stamford Bridge for the youth team. Reserve home games were staged at Aldershot at that time.
The closest he came to senior action was as an unused sub against Huddersfield in the FA Cup.
“I did get to warm up on the pitch - that’s my claim to fame!
“I was told that if we were 2-0 up I would come on but then Huddersfield scored first.
“I was gutted not to play but it was such great experience to be in that environment. To hear Mourinho talk to the first team and being part of that was fantastic.
“I think he will remember that crazy little kid. We spoke Portuguese together and at that time it was a big moment for him coming to Chelsea.
“I’ve seen John Terry since and we had a good chat – so I think Mourinho will and it will be nice to see him. I’ll tell him he’s still doing well and looking good!”
Morais intends to use the occasion to show that he can live in decent company. He was studying Chelsea full back Filipe Luis in the Liverpool game in preparation.
“I want to show people how good I am and that I can play at a higher level. That’s what motivates me.
“I was watching Filipe Luis the other night and I’ve seen (Cesar) Azpilicueta as well in the past.
“I’m just focused on that left back and making their life a misery.”
