WHILE the forecast for Saturday is fine and dry, the chances of any grounds being fit for play in the West Riding County Amateur League after the midweek snow is highly unlikely.
With 14 weeks of the normal season still to play, there is no immediate concern that the league will be unable to complete the league fixtures by the cut-off date at the end of April.
With all the Premier Division clubs now having almost achieved the criteria for leagues in the FA National League System, the league are confident that their application for full Step Seven status will be granted for season 2015-16.
The league are also looking for the clubs in Division One who are seeking promotion to the top flight having the criteria in place by the end of March, when the completed application has to be submitted to the FA Leagues’ committee.
