PHIL Parkinson will be Anfield-bound on a Chelsea spying mission tonight but admitted: "I don't think I'll learn much."
The City boss and number two Steve Parkin will take in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg at Liverpool as they look for any possible chink in the Chelsea armour ahead of Saturday.
Parkinson said: "It will be good for Steve and I to go to Anfield and have a look but I don't think there will be a great deal we will learn from tonight.
"Everyone knows what Chelsea are like. You've watched them on TV in the Champions' League and Premier League plenty of times.
"Anyone watching Match of the Day at the weekend would have seen them cut through Swansea like a knife through butter at times.
"They looked excellent but they've been doing that all season. They are as good a Premier League team as I've seen.
"But we can't be fearful of it at all. There's no expectation on us."
Parkinson and Parkin will be in the Stamford Bridge dugout after avoiding a touchline ban for being sent to the stands in the Millwall replay. They have both been fined over the incident.
City are back in training this morning and Parkinson will move straight on from the Yeovil setback.
"We're not going to let Saturday's result affect the build-up at all because I don't think the players deserve that to happen," he said.
"We've worked really hard to get this far in the FA Cup and earn this game. We should enjoy the preparation and the extra attention that comes with it.
"You think back to the first round and being 1-0 down at Halifax before a tremendous second-half performance. That was a tough local fixture and we came through it well.
"Then after Dartford we got Millwall away and everyone was down-hearted about it. There was a general feeling of 'that's the cup run over then'.
"But we probably had victory snatched away from us down there and then finished the job superbly in the replay and outplayed a Championship side.
"Now we have this fantastic game to look forward to against a top team and we'll be working as hard as possible in training to make sure we give it everything and play to our best."
