Farsley 4, Sheffield 2
Farsley mounted an amazing comeback to beat Sheffield and progress to the quarter-finals of the Evo-Stik League Cup.
Neil Parsley’s men had home advantage in last night's third-round tie and there were early chances for the hosts as Adam Priestley, twice, and Luke Porritt went close.
But the visitors turned around 2-0 up after Kieran Walker’s cross-shot went past everybody in the area and Jamie Hadfield headed in a later corner.
It could have been three had birthday boy Tom Taylor not denied Ash Longstaff with a top-drawer save, tipping a fierce shot onto his crossbar.
Priestley finally beat Sheffield keeper Joseph Green early in the second half with a shot on the turn. Josh Grant then levelled after Green could only parry a shot from Spencer Harris.
Harris later provided the through-ball for Lewis Nightingale to edge Farsley in front and, although the visitors had further chances, Priestley sealed it with his second goal.
