BEN Williams hopes victory tonight will secure his City future for the rest of the season.
Williams, who stands in for suspended goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, is currently on a deal until the end of the month.
But an FA Cup replay win over Millwall to earn that trip to Chelsea would strengthen his claims for a longer stay.
Williams said: "I think so. Everyone knows the cup competitions are really important to teams from the Championship down.
"Each round can bring so much reward for the club. It gives the manager more options and the chairman a bit of breathing space.
"I'm guessing if that's the case then (my contract) would be addressed."
Williams' only experience of playing at Stamford Bridge was as an unused substitute for Manchester United in a 2-2 draw 13 years ago.
"It would be a great experience and a reward for all the hard work you've put in from July and August," he said.
"But tonight's game is the big hurdle. Overlook that and we're setting ourselves up for a fall."
