KRISHAN Patel came off the bench and scored twice for Albion Sports Reserves but it was to no avail as his team suffered a 5-2 home defeat against Harrogate Railway Reserves in the Lancashire League.
Thackley Reserves travelled to Baildon Trinity Athletic for a hastily-arranged friendly and the hosts won 2-1.
Pacy home strikers Ben Craven and Louis Francis were a constant menace and put their team two goals ahead.
Good work by midfield duo Tom Craven and Danny Milner after 20 minutes ended with Francis coolly slooting past the Thackley goalkeeper.
John Lamb then made some fine saves for Baildon before they went 2-0 ahead when Ben Craven picked up the ball on the right wing, went past two defenders and fired home with a superb diagonal shot from 20 yards.
Thackley reduced the arrears a minute from time but it was too late.
