Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn stressed the importance of adding to his relegation-threatened squad with "two or three players" following their 1-1 Sky Bet Championship draw at Bolton.
Whites owner Massimo Cellino was due to arrive back from Miami over the weekend and Redfearn will speak to the Italian about recruitment imminently.
Redfearn felt his side deserved to win an evenly-fought contest which saw Eidur Gudjohnsen cancel out Rodolph Austin's early penalty with a spot-kick of his own three minutes into the second half.
Redfearn, who has spoken of the importance of signing players with Championship experience, left out Mirco Antenucci and Tommaso Bianchi while Adryan and Souleymane Doukara did not even make the bench.
The Leeds boss, who began his career as a trainee at Bolton, said after the match: "Massimo flew back today but I think his flight was delayed - I'm not surprised with the winds - and obviously we will meet up and have a chat next week.
"Like I've said before, our set-up is different in that we have a recruiter and technical director in Nicola Salerno.
"I've got to get my head together with them and see which is the best way forward, but in my opinion I think we need two or three players to stiffen us up.
"Ideally it will be soon because other clubs are recruiting now; the Brightons and Millwalls, they are getting players in.
"There are players out there but we will obviously have to have these conversations."
Redfearn brought in striker Steve Morison for only his third league start of the season and saw the former Millwall striker give an impressive display as the lone frontman.
Redfearn added: "We looked more balanced with and without the ball, and I thought we looked a threat going forward.
"Sam Byram and Lewis Cook were excellent and I thought Morison played his part and led the line well for us.
"The ball didn't come straight back like it did at Sunderland (last week), so there were lots of positives.
"In this system Morison is the ideal type - a target man who you can get runners off and I thought the timing of Lewis Cook's runs to get up there with him were spot on.
"We got crosses in from Charlie Taylor and Sam Byram and if we can continue to do that then I think Steve Morison will start scoring goals."
Redfearn praised the performance of referee Andy Woolmer and felt Byram, who played in a more advanced role on the right-hand side of midfield, might have found his best position.
He added: "To be honest, I think we've got to open Sam's eyes to what he's actually got.
"He can play right-back stood on his head but there are more strings to his bow.
"We mentioned last week how Gareth Bale started as a full-back and then moved further forward.
"It was a similar sort of performance in that he was attack-minded and carried the fight well for us."
The result means Leeds are without a win in their last six Championship outings but Redfearn said: "I think we deserved to win and that's not taking anything away from Bolton.
"Neil Lennon has done a fantastic job so to come here and take a point is a good result - that's four points we have taken off Bolton this season."
Bolton manager Lennon saw his side stretch their unbeaten home run to eight games and he is also seeking to add to his squad.
Lennon said: "It was a fair result. Whilst I'm disappointed, I am sort of satisfied because we didn't play anywhere near our best.
"We got off to a poor start and I'm not convinced it was a penalty - in fact I'm not convinced ours was a penalty either.
"We never really imposed ourselves on the game and we are missing creativity, so we need to get some bodies in and I think it's important we do that this month.
"But it's one defeat in 10 games and that shows how far we have come. If we want to make the play-offs then we've got to start winning some games again."
