FILIPE Morais has today given City a massive boost after agreeing a new two-and-a-half-year deal.

The Portuguese winger, 29, has proved a popular figure since joining the Bantams on the eve of the season back in August.

His previous deal expired after Saturday's FA Cup third-round 3-3 draw at Millwall but he has now agreed a long-term contract to ward off interest from elsewhere.

Morais took a while to break into the team after joining the club, but he has been a regular during the current revival, starting ten of the last 11 games.

Former club MK Dons were believed to have registered an interest in him, while Bolton also had a scout at Valley Parade last week to watch him.
