HAVING equalised, Silsden went on to lose 5-1 at Pickering Town in the Northern Under-19 Alliance League.
Trailing early on to a goal from a corner, Silsden had a goal disallowed for offside before half-time but levelled through Jack Wrigglesworth, who chipped the ball over the goalkeeper's head in a strong start to the second half.
However, the Cobbydalers conceded two goals in quick succession and, with the hosts then in charge, conceded a further two goals late on.
Silsden's manager Steve Nairey said: "I was very disappointed with the scoreline as it didn't reflect the game but lots of positives came out for us against a good-quality Pickering side."
The under-19 match between Liversedge and AFC Emley was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, while the Silsden v Field AFC contest was postponed because of a Keighley & District FA Minors' game
