Bradford City made a triumphant competitive return to Valley Parade after a 20-year absence for their final FA Women’s Premier League (North) home game of the season.
Steve Warburton’s side showed no sign of being overawed by their surroundings as they completed the double over Wolves with a confident 4-0 victory that lifted them to second place with one game to play.
City raced into a 2-0 half-time lead with two goals from Rachel Lee, before Sarah Danby and teenager Rosie McDonnell netted after the interval to complete the scoring.
The last game of the team’s highly successful campaign is at Preston on Sunday, with both sides challenging for the runners-up spot.
