Bradford Park Avenue’s pre-season friendly list is beginning to take shape after they added a third game.
Avenue are delighted to announce that will be hosting Paul Dikcov’s Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday, July 9.
The clubs have maintained a good relationship since they met in the first-round proper of the FA Cup in November 2012, Rovers winning 3-1 at the Keepmoat Stadium.
John Deacey’s men will then face another Football League outfit as Nigel Clough’s Sheffield United are also due to visit Horsfall Stadium.
That game is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, with the only other confirmed friendly so far being a trip to Witton Albion the following Saturday (August 2) - a week before the new Conference North season begins.
Avenue’s league rivals Guiseley have confirmed their first friendly, with Sky Bet League One outfit Huddersfield Town set to make the short journey to Nethermoor on Monday July 21.
That will have given the new turf time to bed as the Lions have extensive work planned on the playing surface at Nethermoor over the close season.
A strong side is expected as the Terriers look forward to their annual trip to Guiseley. Last season’s game ended in a 2-2 draw.
