A raffle raised almost £400 for Martin House from a charity match at Adwalton Moor, Drighlington.
In a game that was organised by Chris Lees, the Malt Shovel took on Victoria Pub Old Boys, who won 5-2 with Steve Batley hitting a hat-trick. Other goals came from Gary ‘Vinny’ Fidegal and Chris Broadbent.
Each player paid £5 to take part and there were good performances for the winners from Steve Judd, Neil Pearce, Chris Squires and 54-year-old Kev Bromley.
