Paul Walker made a clean sweep of the awards at Bradford Park Avenue’s presentation evening.
The mood inside the social club inside Horsfall Stadium was good after Avenue had claimed tenth place in the Conference North in their second season in the division.
Avenue’s supporters, directors, officials, boss John Deacey, his assistant Mark Hume and the players were all in attendance.
It was a chance for the club to thank its fans and the unsung heroes – all of the volunteers, without whom any non-league club would struggle.
However, the star of the show was Walker as he collected an armful of accolades. He picked up all three of the first-team awards, the players’ player of the year, the player of the year and the top scorer’s award. Walker only netted a dozen but that was two more than Chib Chilaka.
The other award of the evening was the clubperson of the year and supporters’ club secretary Maria Bruce was the recipient. Bruce works tirelessly on match days at Horsfall Stadium and is the travel organiser and co-ordinator for away games.
