I think Stevenage are a better team than the league table reads at the moment.
Anybody who thinks it is going to be easy for us because they are bottom is in for a shock.
We know it’s going to be a very hard game and I’m sure the manager will be rallying everybody to make sure that standards don’t slip.
I played against them down there at the start of the season and they work very hard as a team. They won’t give you a moment’s peace so we have got to concentrate for the full 90 minutes.
But the incentive is huge for us to make it nine points out of nine from these home games. It’s amazing how quickly things change in football and the confidence is really high around the place again.
When results weren’t going right, you’d notice the different mood at training and people would be having a little pop at others. Now we can’t wait for the next game to hopefully build on the last two.
Obviously a few players came in last month and have had to settle but they are part of that team spirit.
We’ve got two wins on the trot from working our socks off and that is how it’s got to be.
They were two very different games as well – with the way MK Dons play, we had to be patient when they had the ball. It might not be great for the fans to watch but it was important we kept our shape and stayed organised.
The goal might have been a bit fortunate but I felt we deserved that little bit of luck for all the hard work we put in over the season.
And full credit to Hans for forcing the mistake. He could have let the keeper clear the ball but chased him down and got his reward for putting him under pressure.
Every team has that bad run during the season and hopefully we’ve got that out the way. But the only way we can get another win is by showing the same determination and fighting spirit tomorrow.
