Eccleshill United proved their recent win over Guiseley was no fluke when they beat another team from a higher division in another cup competition last night.
Division One Eccleshill were 2-1 winners at home to Premier Division leaders Tadcaster Albion in a Northern Counties East League Cup third-round tie.
Adam McCabe gave the Eagles an early lead and, although Carl Stewart levelled soon after, Marcus Edwards hit what proved to be the winner later in the first half.
Albion Sports lost 2-0 at home to Worksop Parramore in the Premier Division.
A goal in each half was enough for the visitors and even though Danny Facey had a goal disallowed in a late fightback, the home side were second best.
