Brighouse Town have had some frustrations during the wettest winter on record but two victories in a week have put them right back in the title race in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division.
Paul Quinn’s men were at Winterton Rangers on Saturday and, although they failed to break them down in the goalless first half, they registered an important three points.
A Danny Naidole goal finally broke the deadlock just after the hour and, minutes later, Tyrone Gay added a second. Naidole cemented the win with a late third.
Town moved up one place to third and are now 11 points off leaders Tadcaster Albion, who were held 2-2 at home by tenth-placed Athersley Recreation – with Town having seven games in hand.
