Wibsey took advantage of being involved in the only West Riding County Amateur League fixture to escape the weather as they beat Salts Reserves to climb two places to fifth in Division One.
The game was switched to the 3G pitch at Thornton Grammar School and it produced 13 goals, with Wibsey coming out on top 9-4 as Salts dropped one position to third from bottom.
Daniel O’Donnell led the way with a hat-trick, backed up by Phil Brogan (2), Mick Burke (2), James Crossland and Dave Halley, while Mathew Bailey and Richard Magson netted twice each in reply.
