Just one match involving Bradford Sunday Alliance League clubs was played at the weekend as more heavy rain caused another wash-out.
The sole survivor was the Division 3A game between Eccleshill WMC and Dudley Hill Rangers Reserves, which took place on the 3G surface at the GOALS venue.
It was second against fourth and the result went to form, albeit emphatically so as Eccleshill emerged 8-0 winners to further boost their promotion prospects.
The hosts took command early on and never relinquished their grasp as they fired eight goals past Dudley Hill for the second time this season.
Andy Corker was the star turn, scoring four times, with his hat-trick goal the highlight as an individual run from the touchline finished with a neat turn and shot.
Matthew Hargreaves added a double thanks to a long-range strike and finishing off a great move that had started in his side’s own penalty area, with Chris Robinson and an own goal completing the rout.
Eccleshill are now within 12 points of leaders Clayton Village but have seven games in hand and are due to play their title rivals next.
Meanwhile, the ongoing bad weather means Buttershaw White Star are still waiting to see who their West Riding County FA Sunday Cup quarter-final opponents will be.
This follows the latest postponement between Premier Division rivals Bolton Woods and Dewsbury opponents Thornhill Lees. They will try again this coming weekend.
