Albion Sports suffered a heavy home defeat in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division tonight when Retford United leap-frogged them with a 3-0 victory.
Two first-half goals from Liam Wilkin saw Albion 2-0 down, and a third for Retford, from Kyle Hadley, soon after the break killed off any hopes of a second-half fightback.
Liversedge fared much better as they won 5-1 at fellow strugglers Winterton Rangers, with goals from Gibril Bojang, Joel Farrer, Matty Thompson, Billy Grogan and Brook Newton.
The big West Riding County Cup semi-final derby between Eccleshill United and Guiseley was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
A second attempt will be made next Wednesday.
