Bradford City will make a fourth attempt to complete their Women’s FA Cup second-round tie against Blackpool Wren Rovers on Sunday with the scheduled third round only a week away.
After two postponements at their Thackley base, City have been forced to relinquish home advantage under FA rules and Blackpool are now trying to stage the tie for a second successive week.
The frustrations for players and officials alike will no doubt be echoed by scheduled third-round opponents Cardiff, who do not yet know if they must travel to Blackpool or Bradford.
While waiting to complete this tie, City have had to put back league, League Cup and County Cup games – all of which promises a hectic finish to the season.
City’s second team, again without a game in the FA Premier League Reserve Division, have also been disrupted.
But the A team, still heading Division Three, will hope to be back in action with a West Riding League Cup tie at home to Division Two outfit Oulton, while Brighouse Sports Reserves host Dewsbury Rangers in the same competition.
Huddersfield Town Reserves can do City’s second string a favour at title rivals Nottingham Forest in the league, while Town’s first team are at Sheffield Wednesday in the Sheffield County Cup.
Guiseley and Whitley Bay, both harbouring outside chances of promotion from the North East Regional League, meet at Nethermoor in a Premier Division clash.
Promotion-chasing Brighouse Town have been busy on the transfer scene ahead of their game at home to Rotherham side Millers in the Southern Section of Division One.
Sarah Dobby has joined the club from Leeds City Vixens, along with Emily Husband from Texas University, while long-serving former player-manager Debbie Tomlinson has switched to neighbours Brighouse Sports.
Tomlinson began her career at Bradford City, playing senior football at the age of 12, and was a key part of the team’s climb up the football ladder in the mid 1990s.
In their last game Brighouse Town were 6-2 winners at Doncaster Belles, with two goals apiece from Sonia Sweeney, Chloe Roberts and Rachel White.
Bradford Park Avenue are due to face Keighley Oaks in a West Riding League Premier Division clash.
