The West Riding County Amateur League’s representative side fly from Manchester to Douglas tomorrow to play their Isle of Man counterparts in the quarter-finals of the FA Inter-League Cup.

The tie against the 2011-12 runners-up continues the County Amateurs’ sequence of away matches.

They have had to travel in all three rounds so far, notching wins against the Suffolk & Ipswich League (3-2), the Essex & Suffolk Border League (2-1) and the Manchester League (3-0).

The team to represent the West Riding County Amateur League at The Bowl in Douglas on Saturday will be selected from the following: Carl Aitkin, Tom Brown, Graham McLachlan, Matthew Mulvihill (all Bay Athletic), Fabian Evans, Omar Habeeb (Campion), John Booth, Jordan Coduri, Scott Eastwood, Steve Fullard, Robbie Graham, Graham Hall, Matthew Jones, Chris Moroney (Ovenden West Riding), Gavin Armitage (Storthes Hall), Glynn Beale, Graeme Sides (Tyersal).

Meanwhile, Steeton will be hoping that their ground at Summerhill Lane dries out sufficiently for them to be able to play their twice postponed West Riding County FA Challenge Cup fourth-round tie against their Keighley rivals Oxenhope Recreation.

At stake for the victors is a quarter-final at home to Brighouse Town Reserves on Saturday week.

With Premier Division leaders Ovenden West Riding, as well as Bay Athletic and Tyersal, not playing as they have players selected for the representative team, there will be a restricted list of games.

Campion, who have two players in the team, have elected to play, and will start the second half of their league season with a trip to Storthes Hall, while Salts visit Huddersfield YMCA.
