Guiseley go into Saturday’s home Conference North fixture in high spirits and back in the black.
The Lions’ 3-0 midweek victory at Solihull Moors put their goal difference on the plus side for the first time this season.
Weekend visitors Stalybridge Celtic can only wonder how that feels as theirs is currently minus 21.
Mark Bower’s men climbed back into the top ten with their victory over Moors but they are still eight points off the play-off places.
The Celts need points for other reasons as they are just four above the trapdoor and have played more games than most of the clubs around them.
Bower said: “Stalybridge always come and do a good job at our place, so we know it will be a hard game. They dropped points over Christmas but they have turned it around.
“They score plenty of goals as well, so they are dangerous. They have let a few in as well but they have signed some players to address that.”
The Guiseley boss is glad his squad picked up no fresh injury worries at Solihull and is also pleased that Danny Ellis is close to completing his comeback from injury.
Bower said: “Everyone came through all right on Tuesday, so it is pleasing that we are unscathed with the amount of games we have coming up.
“We had Danny on the bench and he will be involved again. We have a decent squad to choose from at the minute.”
